Axial deep groove ball bearings are a type of bearing specifically designed to support axial loads, or forces that act along the shaft. They consist of a set of balls placed between two rings, the shaft washer (inner race) and the housing washer (outer race), which are designed to allow smooth, low-friction rotation. Thrust ball bearings are ideal for applications where the load is applied in a single direction, like in automotive and machinery applications. These bearings are typically used in situations where both high axial load capacity and precise rotation are required. However, they are not designed to handle radial loads, which are forces acting perpendicular to the shaft. Thrust ball bearings are available in single and double direction configurations, allowing them to accommodate axial loads in either one or both directions. They are widely used in high-speed applications, such as in automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery.
