Return Policy

At Find My Bearings, we aim to provide a high level of customer service, including clear and fair handling of returns. Where a return request is valid and authorised, we will process it as efficiently as possible.

Important – Authorisation Required

Please do not return any goods without contacting us first.
All returns must be authorised in advance and issued with a return reference. Goods returned without prior authorisation may not be accepted.

How to request a return

If you wish to return an item, please contact us and provide the following information:

  • Your contact details (name, address, email, and telephone number)
  • Order or invoice number
  • Item(s) you wish to return
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for return

Once reviewed, we will advise whether the return is authorised and provide return instructions.

Unwanted goods (consumer online orders)

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, in line with UK consumer law.

To qualify:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery
  • Items must be unused, unfitted, and in original packaging
  • Goods must be in a resalable condition

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

Faulty or damaged goods

Customers should inspect goods upon receipt.
If goods are faulty or damaged, please notify us within 30 days of delivery.

Where goods are confirmed to be faulty or damaged:

  • We will arrange repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate
  • A full refund will be issued where required under consumer law

Claims for faulty or damaged goods reported after 30 days may not be accepted.

Cancellation before dispatch

If an order is cancelled before dispatch, a full refund will be issued.

Trade & incorrectly ordered goods

Returns for trade customers or incorrectly ordered items are subject to approval and the following conditions:

  • Goods must be unused and in resalable condition
  • Original packaging must be intact
  • A handling / restocking charge of up to 25% may apply to cover inspection, administration, and restocking costs
  • The applicable handling charge will be confirmed prior to return approval and deducted from the refund
  • Delivery charges are non-refundable

Where approved, the value of the goods only will be refunded.
Handling or restocking charges do not apply to faulty or incorrectly supplied items.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed:

  • Within 14 days of receiving returned goods (consumer cancellations)
  • Or within a reasonable timeframe for approved trade returns

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method wherever possible.

Important notes

  • Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused
  • Special order or non-stock items are non-returnable unless faulty
  • This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law
